About us

Melete Gallery is a unique institution that is committed to sustainability in every aspect of its activities. Our doors are always open – you can visit our gallery from any part of the world, at any time of the day or night. All you need is access to the internet. Immerse yourself in the world of art that sparks intercultural dialogue, tackles important social issues, and showcases inspiring exhibitions by contemporary artists.

Melete Gallery exists in a virtual space, which means that it does not generate any waste associated with traditional exhibitions like artwork transportation, displays installation and maintenance of the building. It also uses a sustainable hosting provider that is committed to minimising its carbon footprint and is certified by the Green Web Foundation. Melete Gallery operates as part of the Foundation for the Promotion of Art and Artistic Collaboration “Art Planes”.

The Gallery’s programme features two distinct exhibition formats: duo (based on a dialogue) and inclusive. The duo exhibitions focus on the work of two artists: Polish and International, who explore a shared theme, material, or other aspects of their artistic practice. Artists’ works are juxtaposed, entering a new context and generating new narratives, creating a space for discussion and reflection on artistic and cultural perspectives.

Inclusive exhibitions are intended to display works created by artists from social groups whose work is underrepresented on the art market or in public space. These exhibitions aim to amplify the voice of these groups and draw attention to their potential in a public discourse on important artistic and social issues. The gallery also organises meetings with artists, open to interaction with the public, which complement the exhibition programme.

Melete Gallery aims to develop fruitful partnerships with artists, cultural institutions and other organisations. Partnerships lead to success in creating unique exhibitions and events, promoting the work of local and international artists from diverse backgrounds, and working collectively to promote art.

We believe that by building relationships with artists and other organisations, we can implement innovative concepts that have the power to inspire and engage audiences. We are ready to take on new challenges and create unique art projects.
