A Meeting with Riina Õun

Riina Õun is an Estonian artist, designer, and materials researcher whose work focuses on the ephemeral nature of biodegradable substances and art created with “non-humans” in mind. During the meeting, Riina discussed her philosophy of shifting from an anthropocentric to an ecocentric way of thinking. It’s an ideal opportunity to learn more about her works, such as “Installations for non-humans,” “Garden Guardians,” and “Cornucopia.”
A Meeting with Sylwia Marszałek-Jeneralczyk

Sylwia Marszałek-Jeneralczyk, a Polish artist and sculptor, combines traditional forms with new media. In her work, she analyses the complex relationships between humans and nature, often juxtaposing it with modernity and technology. During the talk, Sylwia shared insights into her projects, such as “re:plon,” “Scythe,” and “Mycelium.” We discovered how culture, ethnographic traditions, and industrial materials inspire her deeply intellectual works.
